Hahaha.. "Maybe the Helicopter is made out of chocolate." Then you can almost see him say "Fuck You" but they cut it off.
That looks fun.
PC owners win, as the pre-order (Steam, participating retailers) demo goes live on 27th October, with open access following on 3rd November.

I can't wait to chainsaw some zombies.
So after playing the demo a couple times through there are several things I noticed. First and foremost is the "levels" that make up the demo. It seems way too short to be 2 episodes of a campaign. I think it could be compressed into 1 and a half, or perhaps even just one level. It seems to enforce the group mentality in that a well times rush and a "Jockey" special can decimate a 2 person splinter quite easily.
Along with the Jockey, there are a few others new mobs. The Charge, Spitter, and just for fun the uncommon common for this demo is a SWAT zombie. Those you kill by assaulting them from behind. I know what you're thinking, and I don't think that would do the trick. Also, there are still the old favorites. They all act the same with the exception of the witch who seems to be mobile during the daytime.
Additionally, there seem to be 3 tiers of weapons. The melee weapons seem to work into the pistol tiers. You can still dual wield pistols, and you can even mix and match and have one of each kind of pistol. there is definately a temptation to grab the melee weapons and enter "hack and slash" mode. I enjoyed running ahead of the group to use the machete on the hordes. Not always a wise move, and I don't know if I'd recommend a melee weapon to everyone in the group. It always seems nice to have the extra (and unlimited) firepower of the pistols.
Graphically it seems much more polished. By that I mean that literally, things seem shinier. That might be because the demo takes place in the daylight though. It was a refreshing change of scenery compared to the dark and dreary setting of the Riverside area.
I was playing through late last night and happened to find a magnum pistol. It's like a shotgun from long range with unlimited ammo. Best discovery ever.
Yeah I found that on my first solo run through. I was a very happy camper. I'm not sure how to dual wield though. When I went to pick it up I just tossed my old pistol aside, but when I joined you guys Coach already had the two pistols equipped.
I don't know that you can dual wield the magnums. I always saw NPC's running around with two of the regular pistols, and I think they got that from me dropping mine to get melee or magnum.
Coach had two different pistols when I took him over. I can't imagine they'd have 2 skins for the same pistol.

I think there's a lot more variation on the guns than you guys think. I had 3 different AR's (not including the SMG you start with), 2 different snipers, and 4 different shotguns. I bet there's multiple pistols.
I'm just talking about the demo. I didn't want to get into speculation on the full game yet.
I didn't touch the shotguns so I can't say anything about those. As far as the SMG/AR's go, I think I recall 4 or even 5 now that you mention it. There is the starter, the silenced version, the old SMG and AR, and the new AR.
I also forgot to mention the defibrillator, the adrenaline shot, and the boomer bile. Was there more on that end or just those three?

I am a big fan of the Jockey, I was able to turn myself around and it walked me back to my teammates, muahaha. That is a lot better then the Hunter ravaging your body for brains.

Jockey's are frickin mean if they get you at the right time. I really like how they've hammered in the "must group up to not get screwed by jockey's" mentality and then destroy it with spitters. I'm liking it a lot.

Indeed on all fronts.

SWAT are hard to get behind and kill, everyone just pushes them out of their way instead of letting them beat on you so your teammates can kill them from behind. Letting any zombie beat on you isn't a good idea in Expert setting, any good strategy to kill SWAT besides fire?
Hitting them actually works really well unless they're against a wall since they usually stumble back and fall on their face. Then just shoot them in the ass.

So apparently in realism mode, you have to hit zombies in the head to kill them.
Wow...I wonder if there are still difficulty levels there. If so, expert is going to be a bitch. Especially for that rush even in the demo's second level.
